The 12-Month Workmanship Warranty.
Most contractors disappear the moment they cash the check. We don't. Every project we complete is backed in writing.
Austin Pavement Co. stands behind every project we complete. This warranty covers defects in our workmanship and application for a period of 12 months from the date of project completion. If a defect in our application shows up within the first year, we come back and fix it at no cost, no runaround, no finger-pointing.
What this warranty covers
This warranty applies to the workmanship and application quality of all services we perform. Specifically, it covers defects caused by our application:
Sealcoating: Peeling, flaking, or adhesion failure resulting from improper application or surface preparation by our crew, including delamination under normal traffic conditions.
Line Striping: Premature peeling or adhesion failure of traffic markings resulting from application defects, including paint applied at insufficient thickness or on improperly prepared surfaces.
Crack Sealing: Failure of crack sealant to bond or remain in place due to improper application, including inadequate cleaning or incorrect material temperature at the time of application.
What this warranty does not cover
This warranty covers workmanship only, not the natural wear of pavement materials, which are sacrificial by design. The following are not covered:
- Normal wear, fading, and weathering from traffic, sun, and time. Sealcoat and striping are wear surfaces and are expected to wear over their service life.
- Reflective cracking. Cracks that reappear from the underlying pavement through sealcoat or crack sealant. This is a normal characteristic of the existing pavement, not a workmanship defect.
- Areas of standing water, ponding, or known drainage deficiencies, where coating and marking performance cannot be guaranteed.
- Damage from chemicals, fuel, oil, solvents, or other spills on treated surfaces.
- Damage from acts of nature, including flooding, hail, freeze events, extreme weather, or tree root intrusion.
- Failure on areas where traffic, parking, or loads were allowed before the stated cure / return-to-service time we communicated.
- Pre-existing pavement conditions, including base failure, subsurface or drainage issues, and structural deterioration present before our work.
- Modifications, repairs, or treatments made by third parties to surfaces we treated.
How to make a claim
If you believe there is a workmanship defect covered by this warranty, contact us within 30 days of discovering the issue, and within the 12-month warranty period. We will schedule an on-site inspection to assess the concern. If the issue falls within the scope of this warranty, we will repair or re-apply the affected area at no additional cost. Austin Pavement Co. reserves the right to determine the appropriate method of repair or correction.

Additional terms
This warranty is valid only on projects paid in full. It is non-transferable and applies only to the original client who contracted the work. The warranty period begins on the date of project completion as documented in our project records. Repairs made under this warranty do not extend the original warranty period. Austin Pavement Co.'s sole obligation under this warranty is the repair or re-application of affected areas; in no event shall liability exceed the original contract value of the affected work. This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace, any rights you may have under applicable law.
